on Yom Kippur Mincha
Listen.
You will listen, with open ears open mind open heart.
Listen, do not let your mind flinch away.
You cannot ignore this.
You will listen, and take it in.
You must listen.
You must listen; do not turn away.
Listen, this is here, it is written in Torah, and so you must listen.
You will listen, and later you may learn and understand.
You will listen and not close your ears to the words.
You will let them in.
You will take them in.
You will let them hurt you.
You will look straight at them.
Listen. You cannot push them away.
Now you must listen.
It is Torah and you must listen
You must hear.
(v'et zakhar lo tishkav mishkavei isha, toevah hi)
